Unit 2 P7 updated
Wednesday, 4 June 2014
Unit 2 M3
The Intel i7
was tested in 2011 and the Mac was tested in 2009. The scores are very
different. The Intel i7 has a better score, the Intel i7 has more RAM with it
scoring 175 compared to the Macbook which scored 108. The CPU test shows that
the Intel i7 has a higher score than the Mac which means that the Mac has a
slower central processing unit meaning that programmes will open slower. The graphics
score was higher on the Intel i7 with 2485 3D frames per second and the Mac
having 70 3D frames per second. The scores for the hardware tests were similar
with the Intel i7 scoring 18 and the Mac scoring 16 although the drive write
speed of the Intel i7 was 143MB/s and the Mac had 40MB/s.
